Zeller "Lonnie" Homeward

Ms. Zeller (Lonnie) Homeward died on Monday, November 4, 2024 in East Hanover, NJ.
She was 83 years old.

Born and raised in Diego Martin, Trinidad, she arrived in the US in 1987 and settled in Morristown, NJ.

Lonnie is survived by her husband, Lennox Homeward; her children, Lenore Scott (Jeff Scott), Charlene Phillip, Junior Homeward; her granddaughters Shanice Homeward and Giovanni Homeward; her siblings, Estelle Giroux, Eltricia Cooper and Clayton James (Kathleen Ramdial James).

Zeller (Lonnie) was a tireless advocate for others and a devoted servant to her community. She is leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion and unwavering commitment to the betterment of those around her. She dedicated her life to service whether it was through volunteer work, mentorship or advocating for those in need. Always going above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of the disabled and underprivileged members of society.

In her professional life at Servol, Trinidad and Tobago, her community service truly defined her; by her efforts of organizing food drives, charity events, teaching and counselling, lending a hand in time of crisis touched many lives.

At The Arc of Morris in Morristown NJ, where she worked for many years as a nurse manager and was well known and loved by the residents, family and friends as a person driven by the simple philosophy that the true measure of a life well lived is the impact one has on others.
