It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Walt French, or "Uncle Ozzie" as he was affectionately known. Born in Woodbridge, NJ, on May 29, 1934, Walt lived a life full of love and had a unique zest that was all his own. With an infectious charisma he could light up any occasion, such as the annual Father's Day picnics. We won't mention all the cheating during those volleyball games.
Walt was a man of many talents; a creative soul who carved a successful career as a Human Relations Manager in the manufacturing industry. However, what he was most known for was his undeniable sense of humor. He had the rare ability to find the funny side of any situation, a trait that served him well during slow break basketball games with Beckman, on the tennis court, and around the golf course. Yet, his most cherished times were those spent camping with his boys. Walter was a loving father to his sons Joseph, Darren, Chris, and Doug, and a devoted husband to his wife, Barbara. He also shared a friendship with his ex-wife, Shirley French. His family was his world, and he was theirs.
Walt leaves behind a legacy of laughter and love. Alongside his wife and sons, he is survived by many cousins, friends and his beloved "grand dogs". He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary French, and his brother, Joseph French.
