Virginia Spadafino

Mrs. Virginia A. Spadafino, 93, of West Caldwell, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 4, 2025.

Born and raised in Belleville, Virginia graduated from Belleville High School. She married the love of her life, Vincent Joseph Spadafino, and together they raised their family in Cedar Grove, where she resided for 60 years before moving to Verona.

Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose warmth and kindness will be dearly missed. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent Joseph Spadafino.

She is survived by her loving children, Vincent Spadafino, Jr., Angela Miller and her husband George, Donna Dente and her husband Joe, and Steven Spadafino and his wife Donna. She also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren and eight adored great-grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Virginia's passion for nurturing was evident not only in her role as a devoted homemaker but also in the joy she derived from her hobbies. She found solace in the clinking of mah-jongg tiles, the thrill of a Yankees game, the ringing of a slot machine in Atlantic City, and the warmth of summer days spent at the Verona Pool with friends. She also loved attending athletic events to cheer on her grandchildren

Visitation will be held in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Ave., Verona on
Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered in St Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 219 Bloomfield Ave., Caldwell on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery at 12:00 pm.
