Thomas P. Rowan, Jr

Mr. Thomas P. Rowan, Jr., 72, died on Monday, July 27, 2026 at his home in Verona surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Glen Ridge, NJ, he grew up in Bloomfield and moved to Verona in 1989. He graduated from Bloomfield High School with the Class of 1972 and became a licensed plumber, working with the Plumbers Local 24 in Fairfield for 25 years and then with the Verona Sewer Department for 22 years.

Thomas met Madeline and they got married in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona.

Throughout his life, he enjoyed all things about old cars, especially going to the various car shows.

Thomas was predeceased by his parents, Thomas P. Rowan, Sr. and Mary Brady Rowan; his sister-in-law, Marlene Baez and her husband, Nery Baez; and his brother-in-law, Richard May.

He is survived by his loving wife, Madeline DiMaio Rowan; sister, Arlene May; nephew, Jason Baez; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visiting will be held in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Friday, July 31 from 9 to 11 am with a Prayer Service to be held at 11 am. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Upper Montclair, NJ. Repast will be after the burial at Forte Pizzeria, 182 Bloomfield Avenue, Caldwell.
