Sally C. Seawright

Sally C. Seawright, 54, of Verona, passed away on Thursday Aug 8th, 2024.

Sally was born in St. Louis MO and grew up in Fairport, NY. After graduating from Fairport High School, she attended Alfred University and earned a BFA in Printmaking and Ceramics. Following college, she spent the next 10yrs living in Chicago and working as an elementary art school teacher. In 2002, her family moved to Verona where she continued teaching part time for a few years at St. Peter's Nursery School in Essex Fells, NJ.

Always smiling, Sally will best be remembered for her compassion and outgoing personality. She was a friend to all and touched so many lives. Sally was also a fighter at heart, having beat cancer for the third time 2017. She never worried about herself, but instead, cared more about family and friends.

Growing up in Fairport, she enjoyed "farm time" with her horse, Spirit and pony, Guy. When not at the barn, it was weekends and vacations on Keuka Lake. In recent years, it was balancing time with her "boys" - Bill, Connor and Jackson, her love of gardening and weekends at their family lake home in the Berkshires.

Sally is survived by her husband Bill; her sons, Connor and Jackson; her parents, Dave and Susie Covert; and her brother, Matthew Covert. She is also survived by her in-laws, Bill and Anne Seawright, and sister in-law, Vicki Seawright.

Visiting will be held at the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Sunday, August 11 from 12 Noon to 4 pm.
