Cedar Grove, New Jersey
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Ronald “Ronnie” Anthony Rosania, Jr, 47 years old of Cedar Grove, NJ on January 9, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Amanda who fought tirelessly for him throughout his battle and the absolute lights of his life - his children, John Anthony (9) and Veronica “Little Ronnie” (6). He is also survived by his devoted parents, Ronald Rosania, Sr and Joan Rosania and brothers, Anthony and Tommy (and sister-in-law, Christie) whom he loved beyond words. His in-laws, John and Linda Barisich, as well as Jeffrey and Megan Barisich, as well as countless nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends adored him and will miss him terribly. He is predeceased by his grandparents, childhood best friend, Christopher Blum, as well as aunts and uncles who loved him dearly.
Ron was born on August 6,1978 into a large close knit and loving family. He grew up in Verona where he made lifelong friends and excelled at sports but most of all football, which became a lifelong passion. He went on to play football at Seton Hall Prep (a place he loved and remembered fondly into adulthood) and at Wilkes University. He ultimately transferred to Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach where he developed an unmatched love of Golf. After college, he moved back to Verona and became a funeral director where he brought comfort and smiles to those grieving, something few were able to do as well as him.
Ronnie had an unbelievable and unique talent for story telling and making people laugh. It was because of this that he was selected out of thousands of contestants to appear on the game show “Deal or No Deal”. During that experience, he was advised that he had what it took to excel in show business so he travelled to Los Angeles to pursue his dream to become a professional actor. Despite all odds, he appeared in hit television shows and hundreds of commercials. He also made beautiful friendships and amazing memories. As much as he loved the warm weather in LA, while serving as best man at his brother’s wedding he reconnected with Amanda who was maid of honor. They soon fell in love and Ron moved home where they bought a home in Cedar Grove with Ron’s dream backyard which was the perfect place to start the next chapter of his life and the one that meant the most to him— fatherhood.
Ronnie spent the last decade working in election sales and being the funniest most devoted father to his children. He coached baseball, basketball and football and was admired by and inspired all the children he coached, especially the Cedar Grove C Team which he coached with passion to a winning season up until several months before his passing. He was also passionate about the value of Catholic education and enjoyed being a vibrant part of the community at Saint Catherine of Sienna School. Ronnie and Amanda have been blessed with unbelievably close friendships and have taken unforgettable trips including their annual Cape May trip (Ronnie’s happy place) and many beautiful vacations with “The Village”.
