Rachelle F. Sampson

Rachelle F. Sampson 71, of Montclair, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019.

A Funeral Service for Rachelle will be held on Wednesday, September 18 promptly at 11 am in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ, followed immediately by Military Honors to be held for Ruth Sampson (1st Lieutenant, US Army) and Dr. Martin Sampson (Captain, US Army). All three will then be placed in adjoining crypts.

Born in Bridgeport, CT, Rachelle was a longtime resident of Montclair, NJ. A graduate of Montclair High School, Rachelle also had volunteered at St Vincent Hospital in Montclair as a "Candy Striper" and had attended Bloomfield College taking part time courses in Sociology & Business. She enjoyed, coloring, drawing, needle point, arts and crafts, sewing, classical music, speaking and singing songs in Spanish.

Rachelle was a kind and loving person who loved animals who would often say: "I want you to have....." Rachelle's middle name is "Fea" which means "little bird," and she loved nature and enjoyed being in the garden with the birds and flowers. Rachelle was always dressed impeccably well for every occasion just like her mother and grandmother.

Rachelle was predeceased by her father, Dr. Martin C. Sampson, MD, and her mother, Ruth (Marie) Elizabeth Sampson (nee Cronin), and her sister Rebecca Cohen (nee Sampson). She is survived by her loving sisters, Miriam A. Sampson and Sara Sampson.
