Born and raised in Newark, NJ, on December 5, 1942, Pat was a graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. Pat lived in Irvington, Nutley and Verona before moving to Pennington later in life to be closer to her grandchildren, whom she adored. Pat's life was a testament to the power of love and the resilience of the human spirit.
Pat was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was the devoted matriarch of her family, providing unwavering support to her children, Valerie (Mark) Luedeke and Robert Thomas Brady (fiancé, Linda J. Kelly) and her beloved grandchildren, Sarah and Alex Luedeke. She was also a cherished sister to her brother, William Motylewski, and sister-in-law to Joan Thompson, and a beloved aunt to many nephews and nieces. Pat was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert A. Brady, her loving mother, Lucille Claasen (Ted), her dear sister-in-law, Carol Motylewski, her brother-in-law Ronald Thompson, as well as her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Anna Brady. Pat’s love for her family was unconditional, and her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire and guide them.
A graduate of the Katherine Gibbs School, Montclair, Pat used her secretarial skills as an office manager, starting at PSE&G and then with other companies in the West Essex area, after many years of being a devoted homemaker.
She was a faithful member of the Widows Group at Notre Dame Church in North Caldwell, and later, Forever Young at PEAC Gym in Ewing, NJ, where she found joy, camaraderie and support. Pat enjoyed traveling and had fond memories of trips to Europe with family and friends. In every aspect of her life, Pat demonstrated the qualities of kindness, generosity and thoughtfulness that defined her. Her light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts and minds of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
