Ms. Patricia A. Toth died on Friday, January 2, 2026 in Morristown, NJ. She was 73 years old.
Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona NJ on Wednesday, January 7 from 4 to 7 pm. Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday at 10:30 am, with burial to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, Ms. Toth lived in Clifton and Verona prior to moving to Morris Plains in 2017. Ms. Toth graduated from Paterson Catholic High School in 1970 and had a career as an Event Planner, last working for Party Fair in Cedar Grove.
She was the devoted mother of three children and the proud grandmother of six grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as “Nonnie.” Being a mother and homemaker was at the heart of who she was. She took great pride in keeping a beautiful home and found joy in caring for her family in countless, thoughtful ways. Her home was always welcoming, clean, and filled with love.
She was actively involved in her children’s lives, especially through community sports, where she not only supported them from the sidelines but also volunteered as a coach. Her dedication carried on into the next generation, as she was deeply involved in the lives of her grandchildren and rarely missed an opportunity to watch them play sports. Cheering them on brought her immense happiness.
Nonnie was known for her famous Christmas cookies, a treasured holiday tradition that family and friends looked forward to each year. She also loved listening to classic rock on vinyl, reading and enjoying the simple pleasures of everyday life.
Her sister, lovingly known as Sis, was her best friend. The two shared an unbreakable bond, speaking often, exchanging thoughtful gifts, and reminiscing about their childhood and years growing up together in Paterson. Their relationship was filled with love, laughter, and lifelong companionship.
She cherished time spent at the beach and going “down the shore” with her family, creating memories that will be held close forever.
She will be remembered for her devotion to family, her generosity, her strong work ethic, and the love she poured into everyone around her. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
She is survived by her children, Erica McKenna (Christopher), Christian Nardino (Michele) and Theodore J. Toth, III. (Erika); her sister, Kathleen Romeo (Joseph); her godson, Joseph Romeo, Jr.; her grandchildren, Christian, Taryn, Connor, Ryan, Jayden and Alara. She is also survived by Ted Toth, Jr.
She was predeceased by her parents, Cecilia and John J. Walsh, Sr and her brother, John J. Walsh, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in her memory to either the Verona Rescue Squad, 12 Church Street, Verona NJ 07044 or to the Morris Minute Men EMS, PO Box 192, Morris Plains, NJ 07950 would be greatly appreciated.
