Pasquale Tanelli

Mr. Pasquale "Pat" Tanelli passed away on November 5, 2026, in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, at the age of 61.

Visitation will be held at Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, New Jersey, on Monday, November 9, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 5:45 p.m. A repast will follow at Lombardi's in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, one of Pat's favorite restaurants.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, Pat grew up in Verona and graduated from Verona High School in 1983. He went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Montclair State University and worked as a parking lot manager in Newark.

Pat enjoyed playing soccer growing up and remained a lifelong sports enthusiast, particularly supporting Juventus Football Club, the New York Mets, Los Angeles Rams, Boston Bruins, and Los Angeles Lakers. He was also passionate about music, especially KISS and The Clash, and enjoyed watching movies, with A Boy Named Charlie Brown and Snoopy Come Home among his favorites.

Above all, Pat cherished spending time with his children, whether watching sports together on Sundays, going out to eat, or taking family trips to California and Florida. He took tremendous pride in their educational and professional accomplishments, supporting them throughout their college journeys at Northeastern University, Hamilton College, and Temple University. Seeing his three children go on to become two engineers and one business professional was a tremendous source of pride for him.

He was predeceased by his parents, Orazio and Franca Tanelli, and his brother, Nicola Tanelli.

Pat is survived by his children, Nicole Tanelli, Dominic Tanelli, and Salvatore Tanelli, his former spouse, Maryann Tanelli, and a host of nieces and nephews.
