Mrs. Olga Wilson-Grant, 89, died peacefully on January 27, 2021 at the Daughters of Israel located in West Orange, NJ.

The family will be having a gathering this Saturday on January 30, 2021 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at the Prout Funeral Home, (www.proutfuneralhome.com), 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, NJ. 07044. Please note that all attendees are required to practice current social distancing protocols and wear appropriate facial masks.

Born in Havana, Cuba, Mrs. Wilson-Grant spent her early years as an interpreter for families visiting the Havana area.

Olga, affectionately known as "Olguita" by family and close friends, later traveled to live in New York via the famous "Queen Mary" ocean liner that sailed primarily on the North Atlantic Ocean from 1930s through to the late 1960s.

Olga attended Bronx Community College and worked for over 40 years as a nursing attendant for the Hebrew Home for the Aged located in Riverdale, NY. She remained a proud United States Citizen.

Olga lived in the Bronx, NY with her husband "Jack" and when she had her first and only daughter Hannah, she dedicated her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. She always filled her home with kindness, comfort and joy until retiring in 1993 to Coral Springs, FL. In 2013, Olga returned to New Jersey and settled in West Orange to be closer to her family. We will miss her greatly.

Olga was known as a private and passionate person who fully embraced a healthy lifestyle with her herbal remedies and advice. She loved her family and did not hesitate to give you her opinion, whether you wanted it or not. Olga was spiritual, practical and very active with her Church Community in Coral Springs, Florida.

Olga's final resting will be in Key West, Florida where she very much enjoyed spending time with her family.

Mrs. Wilson-Grant was predeceased by her beloved husband, Theron "Jack" Grant and her parents, Byron and Lucille (nee Kirkland) Wilson.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Hannah M. Gomez and her Son -in- Law, Tony, and cherished grandchildren, Miles (29), Mark (26) and Matthew Gomez (23).

In lieu of flowers, donations to Autism Speaks and/or The Lighthouse for the Blind of the Palm Beaches in her memory would be appreciated.
