Norma R. O’Connor Obituary (1929 - 2014)

Mrs. Norma R. (nee Reilly) O'Connor, 84, died on Sunday, March 16, 2014 in Upper Montclair. Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, (www.proutfuneralhome.com) 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Cedar Grove, on Thursday, March 20 at 10am. Born in Glen Ridge, Mrs. O'Connor grew up in Montclair and lived in Cedar Grove for 25 years prior to moving to Monmouth County 30 years ago. She went to Mt. St. Dominic Grammar School and graduated from Immaculate Conception High School. She also took courses at the Fashion Institute in NYC. Mrs. O'Connor was a buyer of children's clothing for Healthtex in NYC prior to raising her family. She was predeceased by her husband, James Patrick Michael O'Connor and her son, James Patrick Michael O'Connor, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Lorianne O'Connor and her furry companion, "Reggie".
