Martha “Marcie” B. Herkner

Mrs. Martha B. Herkner (nee Bush), 82, of Bloomfield, died on January 16, 2021 at Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, NJ.

Born in Glen Ridge, Mrs. Herkner grew up in Montclair and lived in Chagrin Falls, OH and Basking Ridge, Verona, Montclair and Little Falls before moving to Bloomfield 1 1/2 years ago. She graduated from Montclair High School and earned a Bachelor's degree from Hood College.

Throughout her life she worked as an Administrative Assistant with several companies, most recently Games Magazine and the Montclair Adult School.

Mrs. Herkner was predeceased by her husband, George W. Herkner, Jr. parents, Warren and Esther (nee Burgi) Bush and sister, Barbara Guilbert.

She is survived by her brothers, Ernest N. Bush and his wife, Shirley and Warren Bush and his wife, Dorothy (Dolly) and many nieces and nephews: Scott Bush of West New York, NJ; Laura T. and Kenneth Johansen of Totowa, NJ, Margaret and Neil Bowman of Carnegie, PA, Nicholas R. Guilbert of Hightstown NJ, Kenneth W. and Priscila Guilbert of New Castle, DE, Jeannette and John-Paul Bowdle of Elkton, MD, Warren V. II and Natalie Bush of Burleson. TX, Lydia and William Schier of Plano, TX, and Dorothy (Debbie) and Stephen Bishoff of South Carolina.

Services will be private.
