Marian Marjorie Gower

Ms. Marian M. Gower died on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the Waterview Center in Cedar Grove.
Memorial Services will be held at the Montclair Teachers Club, 35 Park Street, Montclair on Saturday, March 12 at 2PM.
Born in Philadelphia, Ms. Gower lived in Newark prior to moving to Bloomfield in 1963.
She is a 1956 graduate of the former Newark State Teachers College with a BA and received her Masters degree from Columbia University in 1960.
Ms. Gower was a Reading Specialist for the Belleville Board of Education for 26 years, retiring in 1988.
She is survived by her brother John Hammond Gower, Jr. and his wife Sandra Lee Gower and her nephews Gregory William Gower and John Hammond Gower III.
