Louise Verrone (née Wolgast)

Louise Verrone (née Wolgast), born December 31, 1947, in Paterson, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Visiting will be held in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Thursday, August 6 from 4 to 7 pm, with a Prayer Service to be held at 6 pm.

Louise spent many years in Verona, New Jersey, before later making her home in Wayne. She was the daughter of the late John Wolgast and late Helen and Joe Rondello.

Above all, Louise cherished her family and the many friendships she made throughout her life. She was the loving mother of Pam Priscoe and her husband, Steven, of Verona, and grandmother to Steven and Andrew; Joseph Verrone of Roseland; and Michael Verrone and his wife, Terri, of Marlton, and grandmother to Ethan and Kyle.

Louise loved a good laugh and simply enjoyed being around people. Her earlier years included many happy times in Fair Lawn, where days at the Fair Lawn pool and time spent enjoying life with friends created memories that stayed with her throughout the years. She also loved spending time at the Jersey Shore and was always up for a good game of Scrabble. More recently, she continued to enjoy good times, laughter, and the company of family and friends in Wayne.

Louise will be remembered for the laughter she shared, the friendships she enjoyed, and most especially, the family she leaves behind. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, family, and friends who were fortunate enough to share in her life.
