Libby G. Gordon

Mrs. Libby Gordon died on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Winchester Gardens in Maplewood, NJ. She was 89 years old.

Natural Burial Services will take place in the Woodlyns Section of the Vail Cemetery, Meadow Drive, Parsippany NJ on Monday, May 4 at 8:30 am.

Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Mrs. Gordon has lived in Bridgewater, NJ, Irvington, NJ, Belle Meade, NJ and the Boca Raton / Boynton Beach area of Florida before moving to Maplewood, NJ in 2016.

Mrs. Gordon graduated from Weequahic High School, Newark NJ, has an Associate degree from Raritan Valley Community College and a Bachelors degree from Rutgers University, New Brunswick. She had a career as a Market Research Analyst for the Center for Professional Advancement in East Brunswick.

Mrs. Gordon was a volunteer for various PTA groups when her children were young, was a member of Hadassah Council of Women, served as a docent at the Boca Museum of Art in Boca Raton, FL and was active in the League of Women Voters. She enjoyed a good game of Tennis in her spare time.

Mrs. Gordon was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Saul Gordon; her long time friend, Harry Siegel; and her siblings, Selma Goldberger and David Schnerman.
She is survived by her children, Jeffrey Klugman (May Chen), Caryn (Ray) Rosenberg (Joshua), Robyn Whalen (Michael); her grandchildren, Henry Whalen (Julia), Eliot Whalen, Poe Rosenberg, Charles Rosenberg, Isabella Klugman, Alexander Klugman; her sister Rhoda Schwartz (Melvin).
