Justine Ann Weinberg

Mrs. Justine Ann Weinberg, 84, of Forked River, NJ, passed away peacefully in Toms River, NJ on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.

Visiting will be held at Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, NJ from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Friday, January 9, 2026. A service will be held at Trinity Church, 343 East Cedar Street, Livingston, NJ at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 10, 2026.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Forked River Presbyterian Church, 131 North Main Street, Forked River, NJ on Saturday, May 30 at 10 am.

Born in Newark and raised in Verona, Justine was a proud graduate of Verona High School, Class of 1959. After completing her studies at Berkeley Secretarial School, she worked as a statistical typist/secretary for Sandoz, later serving as a medical transcriptionist for two neurologists and as a secretary at Trinity Covenant Church. Above all, Justine cherished her role as a devoted homemaker, which remained her greatest joy.

On July 10, 1965, Justine married the love of her life, Sanford “Sandy” Weinberg. Together they built a life in Verona, where they raised their family and became deeply involved in the life of the community. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Verona Fire Department, a Tupperware consultant, an Avon representative, a Verona School Crossing Guard and member of the Covenant Women of Trinity Covenant Church. After moving to Forked River, she became an active member and roving reporter of the Woman's Club of Lacey. Justine was devoted to her family and took great pride in creating a warm, loving home. She was known for her kindness, reliability and quiet strength, always putting the needs of others before her own.

Justine delighted in being silly and enjoyed doing puzzles, reading, and baking. She was especially known for her chocolate sundae pie, a favorite among family and friends. Justine was a longtime Boston Red Sox fan. Above all, she found great joy in hearing about the lives of those she loved.

Justine was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Laurie Weinberg and brothers-in-law, Mark Peterson and Robert Weinberg.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Sandy Weinberg; her children, Cheryl Carson (William), Donna Motsch (Roland) and David Weinberg (Fiance, Anna Lopez); her cherished grandchildren, Victoria Carson, Kara Motsch, Larissa Motsch, Logan Weinberg and Jacquelyn Weinberg; her siblings, Karl Christofferson, Susan Johnson (Greg), Lynne Peterson, and Janice Christofferson and sister-in-law, Ronna Weinberg. She will also be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
