Josefa Vargas

Mrs. Josefa Vargas died at home on Saturday, September 4, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was 74 years old.

Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Tuesday, September 7 from 6 to 9 pm. Everyone will meet at Blessed Sacrament Church, 308 6th Avenue, Paterson for a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, September 8 at 10 am. Facial Masks Requested at both the Funeral Home and Church.

Born in Moca, Dominican Republic, Mrs. Vargas came to the US in 1993 and settled in Paterson.

She is survived by her husband, Juan Vargas and her children, Giovanny Vargas (Blanco Bautista), Juan F. Vargas (Awilda Vargas) and Alba Vargas.

She is also survived by her siblings, Roberto, Amable, Nelsa, Argentina, Mariana and 7 grandchildren, Pamela, Paola, Paolisa, Wildaly, Daniel, Camila and Paulette. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Jose Fernandez.

Dear God, we gratefully thank you for giving us our mom, you must really love us because you gave us the best you had. Watch over her and bless her Lord, and keep her in your care, and may she feel our love for her.
