John McKenna

Mr. John M. McKenna, Esq. died on Thursday, October 30, 2025 in West Orange, NJ. He was 77 years old.

Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Tuesday, November 4 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral Services will be held in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 5 at 11 am, with burial to follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.

Born in Newark, Mr. McKenna grew up in Verona and Bloomfield before returning to Verona in 1976.

He graduated from Our Lady of the Lake School, Bloomfield High School, has a Bachelor's from Seton Hall University and Juris Doctorate from Rutgers Law School. He had a career as an Attorney & Partner at Hack, Piro, Mercklinger, Wallace & McKenna in Florham Park, NJ.

He is survived by his wife, Carol A. (nee Morrison) McKenna; his sons, Christopher Patrick McKenna (Erica) and Patrick Robert McKenna (Lauren); his grandchildren, Connor McKenna, Ryan McKenna, Colin McKenna and Alison McKenna.

In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name to the Verona Rescue Squad, 12 Church Street, Verona NJ 07044 would be appreciated.
