Gilda “Jill” Gambino Obituary (1931 - 2010)

Miss Gilda "Jill" Gambino, 79, died on Saturday, September 25, 2010 in Woodcliff Lake. Graveside services will be held at the Cemetery of the Resurrection, Staten Island, NY, on Monday at (time). Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Sunday from 4-7 PM. Born in Catania, Italy, Miss Gambino moved to the United States in 1936, living in Little Italy before moving to the Gravesend section of Brooklyn, and then moving to Saddle Brook in 2004. She was the Human Resources Director for F. W. Woolworth & Company in NYC for 48 years, retiring in 1995. She was an active member of the Gildas Club of Northern New Jersey. Miss Gambino is the sister of Frances Gambino, Adelene Maniscalco, Thomas Gambino, and the late Jennie Petardi. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
