Elaine M. Tavolacci

Elaine M. Tavolacci of West Orange died on March 11, 2011. She was 81 years old. Born in Jersey City, a graduate of St. Michael's High School and Katharine Gibbs, she moved to Morganville 59 years ago and was active in the Women's Club of Matawan. A devoted wife and mother, she lost her husband Frank, 51, and her son John, 12, to illness while she was still young. After moving to Montville in 1969, she was active in the Lake Valhalla Garden Club and the First Presbyterian Church of Boonton. Elaine was Executive Secretary to the Administrator of Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation for a number of years. She married Ted Tavolacci of Armonk, N.Y. in 1986 and continued to reside in Montville. Three years ago she moved to the St. Cloud Health Care Center in West Orange.
Elaine is survived by her daughter, Cheryl and her husband, Paul and her granddaughter, Laura, all of Verona.
Visitation is at Prout Funeral Home, (www.proutfuneralhome.com) 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Sunday March 13th from 5 pm to 8 pm, with a Service too be held at 7:30.
