Edward J. Gorman

Mr. Edward J. Gorman, 80, died on July 13, 2017 at his home in Cedar Grove NJ.

370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona will be on Monday, July 17 from 4 to 7 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Cedar Grove on Tuesday at 10 am.
Born & raised in Newark, Mr. Gorman moved to Cedar Grove in 1965 and was a faithful parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Church.
He graduated from Seton Hall Prep in 1954, attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Rutherford and was in the US Army, stationed in Germany.
Mr. Gorman served with the Newark Fire Department for 25 years
and then became an Iron Worker with Local 11 in Springfield. For the past 20 years he has been a Funeral Assistant with the Prout Funeral Home.
He was a member of the Emerald Society in Newark and the Shillelagh Club in West Orange.
Mr. Gorman was the husband of Anne (nee Doyle) Gorman, the father of Maura Kennedy (Lee), Kelley Gray (Corey), Colleen Kennelly (Sean) and Edward Gorman (Lori).
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lee, Mairead, Ryan, Justin, Dennis, Brendan, Liam, Aine, Eddie and Ben.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Catherine of Siena Heritage Fund would be appreciated.
