Dorothy N. Ellis

Mrs. Dorothy Nutt Ellis, 91, died on Sunday, March 13, 2011 in West Caldwell.
Services will be held in Hinman Hall at Cranes Mill, 459 Passaic Avenue, West Caldwell on Sunday, March 20 at 2PM.
Born in Walton, NY, Mrs. Ellis lived in Upper Montclair prior to moving to West Caldwell 13 years ago.
Mrs. Ellis is a graduate of Potsdam State College and was an Elementary school teacher in Walton, NY and Montclair, NJ.
She served as a WAVE in the US Navy from 1944 to 1946.
Mrs. Ellis was a member of the Women's Club of Upper Montclair, served on the Board of Directors of the Sellew Memorial Home, was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels and served a docent at the Crane House in Montclair.
She was a long time active member of the Presbyterian Church of Upper Montclair.
Mrs. Ellis is the wife of the late Richard F. Ellis and is survived by her children, William F. Ellis, Susan Kruckow and her husband Jim and their children Stacia and Monica. She is the sister of the late Margaret Faul and the late Elizabeth Jordan.
