Daniel A. Casale

Mr. Daniel A. Casale died on Friday, January 30, 2026 in Livingston, NJ. He was 98 years old.

Visiting will be in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Tuesday, February 3 from 4 to 7 pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered in Our Lady of the Lake Church, Verona on Wednesday, February 4 at 10 am. Parking can be found in the Montrose Avenue Parking Lot located behind the church at 29 Montrose Avenue, Verona. Entombment to follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.

Born and raised in Newark, he graduated from Barringer High School and then served in the U.S. Army. He held a number of jobs over the years including working as a Logistics Manager for Coca Cola, selling mutual funds and working as Office Manager ("Troubleshooter") for SmithKline Beckman in Cedar Grove.

Dan moved to Verona in 1955 and lived in the same house until he passed. He spent his summers at the Jersey shore and loved playing the horses, going to Atlantic City and playing bocce and cards with his friends.

The best times for Dan were times spent with his family. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 71 years, Yolanda, son, Dennis, and siblings, Joseph Casale, Mary Meloia, Emily Tramutola, Antoinette Russoniello, and Jennie Avena.

Mr. Casale is survived by his son, Bob Casale (Anne); his daughter-in-law, Anne M. Casale; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Lax (David), Matthew Casale (Emily Anderson), Melissa Borshoff (Kyle), Amy Mackenzie (Hal) and Julie Diverio (Steve); great-grandchildren, Hudson Lax, Peyton Lax, Harper Anderson, Wren Anderson, Luke Borshoff, Leo Borshoff, Lyla Borshoff and Stella MacKenzie.
