Concetta “Connie” Carollo

Mrs. Concetta "Connie" (nee DiPasquale) Carollo died peacefully on February 3, 2020 in Fairfield, NJ, just 5 days shy of her 99th birthday.

Visiting in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona will be on Thursday, February 6 from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm. A Funeral Mass will follow in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 32 Lakeside Ave., Verona at 1:00 pm on Thursday. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Born in Deliceto, Italy, Mrs. Carollo emigrated to the United States when she was seven years old. She lived in Belleville for 91 years before moving to Fairfield in 2014.

A lifelong caregiver to her family, she enjoyed tending her garden and making family meals.

Mrs. Carollo was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Mario Carollo, her parents, Antonio and Grazia (nee Inneo) DiPasquale and her sisters, Teresa Verrusio and Santina Garguilo.

She is survived by her loving children, Anne Klein (George) and Michael Carollo (Annemarie) and cherished grandchildren, Michael Carollo, Laura Carollo (and her fiance, Ross Nover), Grace Boivin (Jeffrey), Jessica Savage (Glenn) and Brian Klein (Amanda) and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Carollo, Lila Boivin, David Boivin, Nolan Savage, Charlotte Savage and Danielle Klein.
