Carole M. Pritchard

Mrs. Carole M. Pritchard, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026 at her home in Verona, NJ, surrounded by her loving family. She was 92 years old.

Carole was born and raised in West Orange. She married her late husband, William F. Pritchard, Sr., who many knew as "Bunky," in 1961 and raised their family in Verona. Carole would also help with the bookkeeping at Bunky's Automotive Service on Pompton Avenue in Verona.

Carole loved to read, volunteering at Mountainside Hospital and was a member of the Verona Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Carole was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, William F. Pritchard, Sr.; her brother, Alan Young; her children, Alan Dennis and Sharon Mauro; her step-children, William F. Pritchard, Jr. and Carole DiMaggio; grandson, Daniel Pritchard and great granddaughter, Taylor Linke Dennis.

She is survived by her son, Charles (Chuck) Pritchard (Susan); grandchildren, Alan Dennis, Christine Sosack, Hollie Loson, Elizabeth Thompson, Michael Pritchard, Thomas Mauro, Brian Mauro, Allison DiMaggio, Joseph DiMaggio; 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Visiting will be held in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, on Sunday, March 22, 2026 from 2 to 4 pm.
A Graveside Service will take place in the Restland Memorial Park, 77 DeForest Avenue, East Hanover, NJ (in the Hanover Section of the cemetery) on Monday, March 23 at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Carole's memory to the Verona Rescue Squad, 12 Church Street, Verona NJ 07044 would be greatly appreciated.
