Beatriz Puente, "Tata Bettica", 88, of West Orange, returned back to her Creator on May 17, 2011. Visitation is on Wednesday, May 18 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, for family and friends at Prout Funeral Home, (www.proutfuneralhome.com) 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona, N.J. The Funeral Mass is on Thursday, May 19 at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 32 Lakeside Avenue, Verona, N.J. Interment service is at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave. East Hanover, NJ. on Saturday, May 21 at 11:00 AM Before Beatriz moved to USA 23 years ago from Colombia, she worked for American Co. in Bogota, "Prodenvases Crown S.A" for 20 years as bookkeeper from where she retired. Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, sewing, crosswords, reading, bingo, travel and love of poetry. She was predeceased by her husband Alberto. Survivors are her 3 daughters and their husbands, her 2 sons and their wives, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, (one of them is on the way). For her families and friends, she was always generous. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society in her memory.
