Anthony was predeceased by his mother and father, Maria Cimmino Segreto and Cono Segreto, and by his brother David A. Segreto. He was born in Harrison, raised in Newark, and lived in Montclair for most of his life. Anthony graduated from West Side High School, although he missed the graduation ceremony because upon turning 18 in December, he immediately joined the US Navy. He served as a Hospital Assistant in Guam and Nagasaki and was honorably discharged in 1946. Upon his return home, he attended and was graduated from the New York Institute of Dietetics and the Wilford Academy. He also attended Seton Hall University. Anthony owned "Williams the Hairdresser" at 24 Church Street in Montclair, and enjoyed a long and satisfying career there with many loyal clients.

Anthony is survived by his adoring sisters Anne Ercolano and Theresa Armenti; his loving nieces and nephews Thomas Ercolano, Jr. (Paulette), Dr. Mary Louise Malyska (John), Dr. Vincent Armenti (Dawn), Maryanne Mannion (Dr. John), and Robert Armenti (Patricia); his cherished great-nieces and great-nephews Dr. Nicole Beadles (David Chase), Anne Cooper (Darren), Mary Flora Malyska (Nicole Ban), Zoe Weinstein (Dr. Jeffrey), Thomas Ercolano, III (fiancee Melissa Szymansky), Guy Ercolano, Dr. Stephen Armenti, Kathleen Armenti, Dr. John Mannion (Brenda), Mark Mannion (Elizabeth), Christina Mannion (fiance Sean Mahon), David Mannion, Mary Rose Mannion, Robert Armenti, Thomas Armenti, Margaret Armenti, and Christopher Armenti; and his beloved great-great nieces and great-great nephews Emilia Beadles, John Cooper, Cole Cooper, Daniel Cooper, Charlotte Malyska-Ban, and Harrison Weinstein.

As a resident of Green Hill, Anthony Segreto was known as a kind and gentle man who wore a sport coat and tie every day. He will be greatly missed by all, but we are comforted by the knowledge that he is with our Lord Jesus Christ.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
