Anita F. Uhia, PhD

Anita F. Uhia, PhD, aged 79, died on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Mountainside Hospital in Glen Ridge after a brief illness.
Born in Newark, NJ, Dr. Uhia lived in Ringwood, Clifton, Waretown & Toms River prior to moving to Upper Montclair five years ago.
She received a BA in History from Fairleigh Dickinson University, an MA from Montclair State University and her PhD in Curriculum & Teaching from Rutgers University.
Dr. Uhia was a Professor of Education at Montclair State University for 30 years, retiring in 1995.
She was predeceased by her sister Judith in 2010 and is survived by her dear friend, Marilyn Chamberlin and her brother, Bernard Uhia as well as her two nieces India Uhia and Katy Uhia.
