Allen Pole

Allen Charles Pole, 77, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026 in Glen Ridge, NJ. He was born on December 2, 1948 in Newark, NJ to the late Arthur Pole and Marie Pole (nee Kenney).

Shortly after his graduation from Barringer High School in Newark, he enlisted in the United State Air Force and served four years during the Vietnam Conflict. Following his military service, Allen built a long and dedicated career as a courier with FedEx where he worked for 30 years. In 2004 he began working for Degree Day, where he remained until his retirement in 2014.

In 1978, Allen married the love of his life, Roseann Pole (nee Luongo) and together they raised two children, Rachel and Jonathan. The family made their home in Verona, NJ where Allen lived since 1983.

Allen was a devoted father and a deeply proud grandfather. His daughter Rachel is married to Michael Serino and they are the loving parents of Jason and Julia. His son Jonathan is married to Alison Pole (nee Meade) and together they have two children, Jeremy and Fiona.

Allen is survived by his beloved sister, Susan Dapsis and brother-in-law, Joseph Dapsis; as well as several nieces, nephews and many cherished family members.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

Memorial visiting will be held in the Prout Funeral Home, 370 Bloomfield Avenue, Verona on Monday, January 19, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Inurnment will take place on Tuesday, January 20 at 12:00 pm in the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ.
